Combine 2 oz. vodka, 1 oz. cranberry juice cocktail, ¾ oz fresh lime juice, and ¾ oz. triple sec in a cocktail shaker. Fill shaker with ice, cover, and shake vigorously until outside of shaker is very cold, about 20 seconds.
Strain cocktail through a Hawthorne strainer or a slotted spoon into a martini glass. Garnish with orange twist.
